I was a little disappointed with the series of moonrise images I took here. While this one is probably the best, it still doesn't capture what memory says the scene looked like. A better approach, probably, would have been to take two photographs - one of the moon alone under higher magnification and another of the canyon as the sun set. They then could have been combined in Photoshop.
