Aug. 11, 2006 - Towers of the Virgin, Zion Canyon

This image was shot at sunrise on a very cold morning, following an overnight light snowfall. The clouds draping the cliff face appeared very suddenly and then quickly dissipated. I love shooting in these types of locations early in the morning. It's very still and while you might see another photographer or two, you're essentially alone. What could be better?
