Sept. 25, 2006 - First Ocean Sunrise

After visiting Charleston, my wife and I met our daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren at Myrtle Beach. The two boys had never been to the ocean and neither had seen the sun come up over the ocean. The oldest, who was 6 at the time, insisted on getting up before dawn and heading for the beach so he could see what we had been trying to describe. I probably shouldn't have been, but I was really surprised (and pleased) at how excited he was when the sun first broke the horizon.
