This photograph was taken in Letchworth SP, NY, near the Middle Falls. The rainbow is being created by the sun's rays passing through the mist from the falls (off camera to the right). While it looks like the person sitting on the wall is gazing at the rainbow, it's a bit of an illusion. Truth is, from that person's point of view, the rainbow was not visible. In instances like this, you can actually see the "end of the rainbow" near the base of the falls. Alas, I found no pot of gold.......
