The Genesee River gorge in Letchworth SP has been called the "Grand Canyon of the East". While it cannot match its western namesake's depth and length, there is one thing that it does have that the original doesn't - fall color. In this image, we see the river winding north through the gorge toward Lake Ontario, some 50 miles away.
