Durand Eastman Park is one of the few places around Rochester that you might call "hilly". Most of the area in this region (the southern shore of Lake Ontario) is fairly flat. You have to drive south into the Finger Lakes to find any kind of natural elevation. That makes Durand Eastman an interesting place to visit and to hike in - especially in the fall. Here, the trail around one of the small lakes in the park is completely leaf covered.
