Jan. 25, 2007 - Taughannock In Winter
Canon 20D, 24 - 70 mm f/2.8 @ 70 mm, f/11.0, 1/125 sec., ISO 200, Feb. 2005
Winter may have been a little late arriving this year, but the "old man" is making up for it as fast as he can. Frigid temperatures (with wind chills that are much worse) and those dreaded "lake effect" snows seem to be the order of the day. I may be a wimp, but there will be no photography in this kind of meteorological misery! So it's back into the archives to find something to fit the mood.
This was taken during similar weather almost two years ago. While I love Taughannock, I have to admit that my Jeep was only about 25 feet away from this vantage point. That day it seemed as if everything was covered with ice.
