As our trip west approaches (less than a month away), my thoughts keep returning to this magical place. And when that happens, I'm compelled to once again look through all of the images taken last year. I had never paid much attention to this one, partly because there was some featureless sky at the top and a lot of scraggly trees at the bottom of the frame. This time, however, I could "see" a cropped version that had a wintry, moody feel to it. For me, it works.
