While visiting our son and daughter-in-law in Las Vegas, my good friend Steve Weeks took me out to the Valley of Fire. This state park, located about 50 miles northeast of LV, is filled with incredible rock formations and is a photographer's dream. This image of the park's most prominent arch was taken in late afternoon, just before the sun dipped below the horizon.
