Sometimes when you're looking for interesting images you just get lucky. We were out wandering around on the banks of the Virgin River when the sun came out briefly and illuminated the top of this tree. It was late afternoon and we were just about to head back into Springdale for an hour or so before returning to the park at sunset. This isn't a typical jaw - dropping image of Zion, I suppose, but I like it. The leaves had sprouted on some of these trees just a few days before, and apparently mother nature decided to "spotlight" this one for a few minutes.
