The area around Sedona is one of contrasts. With respect to temperature, it can get downright weird. If you drive north to Flagstaff on 89A, for example, the temperature is likely to drop about 15 degrees in 20 miles because of the change in elevation. This image, however, was taken quite a bit closer to Sedona in a "protected" area of Oak Creek Canyon. While it was 75 degrees in Sedona, it was much cooler here. The ice provides ample evidence of that, I think.
