Back to Watkins Glen (figuratively, anyway). This is a great example of what is often referred to as a "horsetail" or "slide" waterfall - one that runs down a nearly vertical wall but never loses contact with the rock. Given the very long exposure, you can see light reflecting off of the water onto the rock (something that is obviously impossible to see in real time). I was also drawn to the different textures of rock within this image, from the very smooth rock beneath the primary flow to the much rougher siltstone of the gorge wall.
