As our move to Nevada approaches, my thoughts have wandered to places that I'm not likely to see again in the near future. Maine is one of those places. I could very easily have moved there, if the opportunities had presented themselves. I know of no single place that I enjoy more than the Maine coast.

Anyway, it got me relooking at images from past trips, images that I'd never done much with previously. I think it's true that photographs tend to age well. They often look "better" after some length of time has passed than they did when they were "new". Sort of like wine, I guess. This one was taken in September, 2004 (the last time we visited Stonington). I have truly missed the sights, sounds, and smell of that place.
