Nov. 11, 2007 - The Light

For years now, I've made it a habit to look out the window at sunrise and sunset (usually more than once) to see if anything interesting was going on. You never know when the light at those times of day will become interesting.

I will say, though, that it's rare to see interesting light at either time around Las Vegas. Most often, the sky is clear, or at best hazy, and nothing much happens. This is, after all, the desert and clouds are rare. So when I see light like this at dawn, I just have to grab a camera. It's not a great photograph. There's no deep "message" to be extracted from it. It simply represents one of those times when you walk outside, look up at the sky, and enjoy the show.
