OK, it's not really THE New York City skyline. Although I've lived most of my life in New York state, I've only been to the Big Apple once (way, way back in 1965). And even though I'm a Yankees fan, I never had any desire to go back. Go figure.
No, this is the New York, New York hotel and casino in Las Vegas (one of my favorite spots on the strip). This image was taken from across the street, in front of the MGM Grand. If you look close, you can see the roller coaster tracks running along the top of New York, New York. It always seems strange to hear the sound of the thing above your head - complete with people screaming - as you walk along Las Vegas Boulevard.
