"Home for Christmas"

Here's a scene you won't often see in southern Nevada. Every place has its advantages and disadvantages, I guess. Las Vegas sees almost no snow (except up in the mountains), while Rochester sees a lot. In Las Vegas, you don't go out in the summertime because it can be over 100 degrees. In Rochester, you patiently wait for summeritme so that you can go outside. In Las Vegas, you look for clouds and hope against hope that it might actually rain. In Rochester, you complain that you rarely see the sun (at least in the winter) and worry about the rain ruining your plans in the summer.

As much as we hate snow, however, "home" is where our grandchildren are. And they live where it snows.

So this is where we spent Christmas. Hopefully, it's where we'll spend next Christmas as well.
