Feb. 15, 2008 - Downtown, Saturday Night

It's been a while since I've posted - I guess that's what happens when you return to fulltime work. All of the freetime that I used to be able to devote to lugging around a camera seems to have evaporated. Some adjustments in my daily schedule are in order! I'm beginning to experience a serious case of "photography withdrawal", if there is such a thing. I just need to find the time (again).
That's not to say I'm not enjoying my return to the daily "grind". I am, immensely. Who wouldn't, if they worked in the building shown here (Mandalay Bay)? It's beautiful, both inside and out.
This image was, in fact, taken on a recent Saturday evening. Note the heavy traffic on Las Vegas Boulevard (it gets worse than this later on). Also, if you look just to the right and above the Excalibur marquee, you'll see a helicopter in flight. Helicopters are pretty much a "constant" above Las Vegas, especially in the evening. Someday I'll figure out what all of them are doing!
