Oct. 12, 2008 - Walking the Dog

Sometimes you get perfection. No, I'm not talking about the image. I'm talking about the perfect fall day with warmer than normal temperatures, blue sky, and the freedom to be outside. On days like this, it's nice to have a camera but I would have enjoyed the experience anyway. We get a few such days in the fall here. It never lasts for very long , but sometimes we get lucky and we get 4 or 5 pristine days in a row. Then the clouds return along with the wind and, more often than not, water falls from the sky. That'll happen about Wednesday.

Today it was 80 degrees. It will probably be the same tomorrow. Summer is paying us a return - albeit brief - visit. Shame on anyone who spent the afternoon inside watching football or golf. Before you know it, we'll be wearing wool hats and gloves and scraping ice off of windshields. Plenty of time to vegetate in front of the tube.
